Colin Metcalf is INGENIO’s Director of Product Development and Operations, he plays a multifaceted role that encompasses the entire spectrum of the company’s operations. With a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of our business, he is involved from initial sales interactions to the seamless delivery of high- quality products, Colin stands as an indispensable pillar of the INGENIO team. Leading the operations team with an impressive wealth of expertise, Colin ensures that each stage of the production process aligns seamlessly, resulting in timely deliveries that exceed customer expectations. His meticulous oversight guarantees that INGENIO’s commitment to excellence is not only met but consistently surpassed.
Colin’s significance extends beyond operations, he is a linchpin in the product development process, collaborating closely with INGENIO’s Engineering Department, particularly on specialized projects. His strategic insights and hands-on experience add a layer of precision and innovation to every product the company delivers.
In addition to his pivotal role in product development, Colin is a key figure in INGENIO’s collaboration with suppliers. He actively engages in sourcing and qualifying new vendors, contributing to the company’s ability to forge strong partnerships and ensure the highest standards of quality across the supply chain. As a testament to his commitment to quality, Colin holds a crucial position within the INGENIO Quality team. His dedication to maintaining and enhancing quality control and assurance standards reflects his 15-year career in the Aerospace Industry.
Over the years, Colin has played pivotal roles in various aspects of the industry, including interior manufacturing, completions, VIP aircraft maintenance, equipment design, certification and integration. Colin Metcalf’s journey through the Aerospace Industry has not only honed his technical acumen but has instilled in him a passion for excellence that resonates throughout INGENIO. His multifaceted expertise, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment make him an instrumental figure in steering INGENIO toward new heights of success.
Look Forward to the INGENIO Cockpit Tablet EFB for Bombardier Challenger & Global Platform

The Cockpit Tablet EFBs designed by INGENIO are compact, lightweight detachable mounts that support a variety of Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) such as Apple iPad and Android Tablets, etc. The functional & stylized designs complement modern business, commercial aircraft & helicopter cockpit environments and are purposefully engineered to the most stringent aviation industry technical requirements. The Cockpit Tablet EFB designs can utilize a mounting unit up to 15 to 20 degree tilting mechanism (any direction) secured onto a light- weight support structure that also includes an integrated INGENIO USB PD Charger.
Seen above is a product with specialized STC’s (Supplemental Type Certificates) that INGENIO has developed for Bombardier wide body platforms. The Cockpit Tablet EFBs have a geometry of design, orientation and attachment points customized for these specific aircraft types. This is purposefully engineered to meet the stringent technical requirements of the aviation industry. Specifically, there is a Transport Canada approved INGENIO STC available for Bombardier Global with FAA and EASA familiarization and Challenger 600 aircraft series, with FAA familiarization.
In addition to the mounting unit are interchangeable Tablet-Holders providing maximum flexibility by a plug & play design. These Tablet-Holders provide dynamic fit and form for securing a wide variety of Tablets and easily slide in & out of the mounting unit. Either Universal or INGENIO Holders can be used with the Cockpit Tablet EFB Mounts, allowing the users to deploy any USB powered Tablet or iPad type Provides integrated USB PD functionality & data communication [pass through] capability for charging the PED using INGENIO USB AeroUSB PD Chargers or USB Extenders. Users can view tablets in both portrait and landscape modes and tightly secures them to reduce any vibration.
