Legacy Rosen Arms – Gulfstream Aircraft
The Problem
Back in the day, Rosen Aviation pioneered individual passenger monitors, which at
the time were selected as standard equipment for Gulfstream’s GIV, GV, G450 and G550 cabin entertainment systems. The proprietary Rosen Aviation electro-mechanical socket allowed the video monitors to connect and disconnect, allowing the video monitors to be stowed and then deployed once in flight.
Today, however, not only are these monitors and mechanisms no longer
supported by Rosen Aviation, but they are obsolete in the world of audio-video
sources and distribution on aircraft. Today’s passengers bring their own media
via their Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) such as mobile phones and tablets
ike iPads and Android Tablets. Modern cabin management systems can even
stream media to these devices via the audio-video system or streaming products such as GoGo Avance and
others. In most cases, these Rosen Aviation arms, receptacles, or monitors are inoperative, unserviceable,
and unusable.
The INGENIO Aerospace Solution
INGENIO Aerospace has designed a product solution that addresses the obsolescence issue of the Rosen legacy receptacle and monitor problem, offering aircraft owners an opportunity for a great alternative.
INGENIO offers a receptacle replacement that will fit within the same location, as well as Sidewall Tablet Easels to complement those receptacles. This installation provides USB Power Delivery (PD) functionality, and specifically fits in the sidewall ‘window box’ present in these Gulfstream platforms. The INGENIO receptacles are CAN-TSO- C71 certified and DO-160G qualified.
These products allow passengers to use PEDs to watch their carry-on content and allow charging of the devices via the USB-C Charger while the Sidewall Tablet-Easels are installed in the Receptacle or even when the TabletEasel is removed with a USB-C charger port.
This solution breathes new life into aircraft cabins where “dead” Rosen Aviation receptacles are taking up space.

The INGENIO legacy Rosen arm display solution is to install the latest Power Delivery ‘Fast Charge’ Receptacles, with a minor modification, to be used with the INGENIO Sidewall Tablet-Easels.
Changing out the Rosen Aviation receptacles (Rosen PNs 0100-XXX)
with the INGENIO AeroReceptacles150 – PN 209-8101-015, (3A
@ 5 VDC) is a quick and easy installation with a receptacle that fits the
same location, and uses the existing wiring with just a change to the
connector type. The compatible INGENIO Sidewall Tablet-Easels
(5-inch arms) are: PN: 209-8362-111 (LHS Easel) and 209-8362-211 (RHS Easel)
